Position: Chief Accounting Support Specialist (Emirati)Location: DubaiNationality: (Emirati) OnlyWe are seeking a qualified Emirati accounting professional for the position of Chief Accounting Support Specialist within a Dubai government entity.The successful candidate will contribute to the development and review of financial policies, accounting procedures, and regulatory compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with applicable Dubai Government financial legislation and regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.Ensure financial practices comply with applicable government legislation, regulations, and approved standards.Interpret financial regulations and provide technical input on accounting policies and procedures.Review financial reports and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.Prepare financial analyses, reports, and recommendations to support management decision-making.Coordinate with relevant departments on financial policy implementation and regulatory requirements.Monitor changes in financial legislation and recommend updates to policies and procedures.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, governance, and operational efficiency.Maintain accurate documentation and support compliance with financial reporting requirements.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.9-10 experience in accounting, financial policies, financial regulations, or compliance.Strong understanding of Dubai Government financial legislation, regulations, and policies.Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are preferred.Previous experience with a Big Four audit firm (PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG) is an advantage.Key CompetenciesFinancial analysis and accounting expertiseRegulatory interpretation and complianceAnalytical thinking and problem-solvingReport writing and attention to detailCommunication and stakeholder coordination
