Country Manager – UAE

Role Description The Country Manager – UAE is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site client engagement and work-from-home tasks. The role involves overseeing SGA’s operations and business development in the UAE, including building and maintaining relationships with farmers, agribusinesses, distributors, and institutional partners. The Country Manager will identify market opportunities, develop go-to-market plans for advisory services and agricultural inputs, and ensure delivery quality aligned with SGA standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating local partnerships, managing key accounts, monitoring performance metrics, supporting marketing activities, and providing regular reporting to the leadership team. The role also requires staying informed on local agricultural trends, regulations, and sustainability initiatives to guide strategic decisions.QualificationsStrong background in agriculture, agribusiness, or related sectors, with knowledge of advisory services and agricultural inputs.Experience in country or regional management, business development, or commercial leadership in the UAE or GCC markets.Skills in stakeholder relationship management, partnership development, and client engagement.Ability to analyze market trends, prepare business plans, and monitor performance using data-driven approaches.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid setup, manage multiple priorities, and meet agreed targets on a part-time basis.Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.Familiarity with sustainability practices, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements in the UAE agricultural sector.Willingness to travel within the UAE for client visits, field activities, and stakeholder meetings as needed.
