As a growing education business, we are focused on creating relevant, practical and engaging online learning that helps professionals develop new skills and advance their careers.The OpportunityWe are looking for an experienced CPD Product & Learning Design Lead to take ownership of the creation and growth of our digital learning portfolio.This is not a role within an established learning function. We are building our course portfolio from the ground up and need someone who enjoys turning ideas into reality. You will be responsible for researching opportunities, creating content, designing learning experiences, building courses and managing projects from concept through to launch.We are looking for someone who is comfortable starting with a blank page, creating structure where it does not already exist, and taking responsibility for outcomes. You will have significant autonomy to shape our learning products, establish development standards, introduce new technologies and create processes that support future growth.This is a hands-on role. You will not simply manage course development. You will create content, build courses, work directly with subject matter experts and take ownership of delivering high-quality digital learning products that are engaging, commercially relevant and learner-focused.Key ResponsibilitiesCourse Creation and DevelopmentTake ownership of the end-to-end development of online CPD courses and professional learning programmes.Research topics, learner needs and market opportunities to identify relevant course concepts.Write, edit and develop course content, learning materials, assessments, case studies, quizzes and practical activities.Design engaging learning experiences that support adult learners and real-world application.Build interactive digital learning using Articulate 360, Rise, H5P or equivalent authoring tools.Translate complex subject matter into clear, accessible and engaging online learning.Product and Portfolio DevelopmentWork closely with leadership to develop and prioritise the educateU CPD portfolio.Identify trends, skills gaps and commercial opportunities to inform future course development.Research accreditation and endorsement opportunities that enhance programme value.Develop course specifications, learning outcomes and product documentation.Support the launch and ongoing growth of the course portfolio.Ownership and Project LeadershipManage multiple course development projects simultaneously from concept through to launch.Coordinate subject matter experts and stakeholders where specialist input is required.Establish practical and scalable development processes, templates and quality standards.Take accountability for project delivery, quality and timelines.Provide regular updates on progress, risks and future priorities.Learning Quality and InnovationEnsure courses meet high standards of instructional design, accessibility and learner experience.Explore and implement AI tools and emerging technologies to improve course development and learner engagement.Work with technical colleagues to ensure effective integration within educateU's learning platform.Monitor learner feedback, completion rates and engagement data to continuously improve courses.Maintain course review schedules and ExperienceProven experience in instructional design, digital learning, learning experience design or e-learning development.A good understanding of adult learning principlesExperience creating learning content from concept through to publication.Strong writing and content development skills.Experience building online learning using tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, H5P, Adapt or similar platforms.Strong understanding of adult learning principles and assessment design.Experience creating interactive learning activities, scenarios, assessments and digital learning resources.Excellent project management and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.Excellent attention to detail and business.Desirable ExperienceExperience developing CPD programmes or professional training.Experience working with virtual learning environments or learning management systems.Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI or related e-learning standards.Experience with CPD accreditation, awarding organisations or professional bodies.Experience developing content in areas such as leadership, business, education, digital skills, AI or professional development.Experience using AI tools to support content creation and learning design.Experience analysing learner engagement, feedback and performance data.A qualification
