The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Adobe Commerce (Magento), Enterprise Service Layer (ESL) architecture, APIs, microservices, and enterprise data integration. This role will be responsible for defining scalable, secure, and high-performance commerce architecture while ensuring seamless integration across business-critical enterprise systems.The successful candidate will work closely with business, product, engineering, security, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture teams to deliver robust digital commerce solutions that support business growth, operational excellence, and customer experience objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine end-to-end architecture for Commerce and Enterprise Service Layer (ESL) solutionsDesign integrations between Adobe Commerce (Magento) and enterprise platforms including ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, CMS, payment gateways, inventory systems, and fulfillment platformsEstablish API, microservices, messaging, and event-driven integration architecturesDefine architecture standards for API security, authentication, authorization, logging, monitoring, observability, and performance managementDrive architecture governance and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standardsProvide technical leadership to commerce, integration, backend, frontend, and platform engineering teamsEnsure solutions meet scalability, availability, resilience, security, and performance requirementsReview technical designs and recommend architectural improvements and best practicesIdentify technical risks, dependencies, constraints, and mitigation strategiesCollaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to translate business requirements into scalable architecture solutionsCreate and maintain architecture diagrams, integration specifications, API standards, and technical documentationSupport platform modernization initiatives including headless commerce, composable architecture, and cloud-native solutionsMust-Have SkillsStrong experience as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Data Architect delivering Digital Commerce and Enterprise Integration solutionsProven architecture experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento) including platform design, governance, integrations, and scalability planningStrong expertise in Digital Commerce and eCommerce architectureStrong knowledge of Enterprise Service Layer (ESL) architecture and enterprise integration frameworksHands-on experience designing REST APIs, Microservices, and API-driven architecturesStrong understanding of synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, and event-driven integration patternsExperience integrating Commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, CMS, payment, inventory, and fulfillment systemsStrong knowledge of API Security including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, authentication, and authorization frameworksStrong understanding of scalability, resiliency, caching, high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization principlesExperience defining architecture standards, API standards, and integration governance frameworksStrong stakeholder management, communication, technical leadership, and solution design capabilitiesGood-to-Have SkillsExperience with SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, commercetools, or other enterprise commerce platformsExperience with Apigee, Azure API Management, Kong, MuleSoft, or similar API management and integration platformsExperience with Kafka or other event-streaming and messaging technologiesDevelopment background using Java/Spring Boot, .NET, or Node.jsExperience working with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud platformsKnowledge of Headless Commerce, Composable Commerce, and MACH ArchitectureExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application platformsUnderstanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps practicesExperience with observability, application monitoring, and APM platforms such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Grafana, Elastic, New Relic, or Azure MonitorExperience leading commerce transformation, platform modernization, or large-scale enterprise integration initiativesPreferred QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related fieldExperience working within enterprise-scale retail, eCommerce, digital commerce, or customer-facing online platformsStrong understanding of modern integration, API-first, and cloud-native architecture principlesRelevant architecture, cloud, integration, or commerce platform certifications are advantageous
