Deputy Electrical Lead

The incumbent will support the Electrical Lead in leading engineering teams and overseeing electrical engineering design and supervision for large-scale infrastructure projects, including large and deep pumping stations.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
• A master’s degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
• At least 15 years’ experience in electrical engineering design and supervision or a related field, including at least five years’ proven experience leading engineering teams in the UAE and managing large-scale infrastructure projects similar to DSST.
• Professional certification as a Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent is required.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, international and local industry standards, and regulatory requirements, with demonstrable experience in large and deep pumping stations.
• Expertise in medium-voltage and low-voltage (MV/LV) systems, standby generation, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, motor control centres (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), switchgear, power system studies and electrical protection systems.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in spoken and written English.
