Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
STOIX | B Corp™ · London Area, United Kingdom
Tailor my CV for this job — freeDirector of Group FP&ALondon (hybrid, 3–4 days on site)Compensation to attract the bestSTOIX is partnering with a privately owned global technology solutions provider operating at multi-billion-dollar scale across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.The business is growing fast. Deals are getting larger and more complex. A new finance leadership team is in place, and the ambition is clear: build a finance function fit for a company several times its current size. This hire sits at the centre of that.THE ROLEYou will be the single owner of enterprise-wide planning, end to end. Not the person who collates the numbers; the person who decides how the business plans.
- Design and run the full cycle: annual operating plan, reforecasts, rolling latest view, 3–5 year long-range plan and scenario planning
- Set the assumptions and parameters with the CFO before each cycle opens
- Own the corporate planning model and the driver models behind it: revenue and gross profit, cost and headcount
- Run the target-setting cascade from the top-down goal to segment level
- Challenge segment and function leaders on their submissions, and make the challenge stick
- Track forecast accuracy after every cycle and feed what you learn into the next one
- Modernise the process, including practical use of AI and automation
- Start hands-on, then build and lead the team as the function growsTo be clear: this is not a reporting role, and not a hybrid. It is planning, with real authority.WHAT YOU BRING
- Proven ownership of a recurring, group/business-wide planning cycle in a complex, multi-segment business at scale (£1b+)
- Strong driver-based modelling and consolidation capability
- The credibility to sit with executives, frame trade-offs and hold your ground
- Experience leading and developing people
- Curiosity: you want to know why the number moved, not just that it did
- Energy, pace and composure. Things move quickly here, and the people who thrive enjoy that
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in a planning or forecasting workflow, paired with the judgement to know where human insight still matters mostTechnology or quota-driven sales backgrounds are a strong plus but not essential. US-headquartered or listed company experience will serve you well. A professional accountancy qualification is essential.WHY THIS ONE
- A genuine build. You will shape how a multi-billion-dollar business plans, rather than inherit someone else's process
- Direct visibility with the CFO and senior leadership from day one
- A finance function investing heavily in talent, with leaders who take career progression seriously
- Scale and pace that few privately owned businesses can offerAll conversations are handled in strict confidence. To find out more, message me directly or apply below.
