Facilities Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance, and operation of the organization's buildings, facilities, infrastructure, and support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained working environment while optimizing operational efficiency, managing maintenance activities, controlling costs, and ensuring compliance with applicable safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, vendor management, and operational planning capabilities.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations, maintenance, and management of buildings, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.Manage facility services, including electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, fire protection, and building management systems.Conduct regular facility inspections and ensure all equipment and building systems operate efficiently.Manage facility maintenance budgets, operating expenses, procurement, and resource allocation.Supervise facility technicians, maintenance personnel, contractors, and external service providers.Coordinate repair works, renovations, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.Monitor contractor performance, service agreements, maintenance schedules, and service quality.Ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, fire protection, and facility management standards.Manage utilities consumption and implement energy efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.Respond to facility emergencies, equipment breakdowns, and operational disruptions.Maintain accurate facility records, maintenance reports, asset registers, and technical documentation.Coordinate with internal departments to address workplace requirements and facility-related issues.Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsBachelor's degree or diploma in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building operations, maintenance, or property management.Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position is preferred.Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical installations, plumbing, fire protection, and maintenance operations.Experience in preventive maintenance, asset management, contractor supervision, and facility improvement projects.Good understanding of workplace safety, environmental management, and building maintenance standards.Experience in budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and cost control.Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is an advantage.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.Ability to manage multiple maintenance activities and respond effectively to operational emergencies.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management systems.Good command of written and spoken English.
