FDE Salesforce Developer
Frontline · Montevideo, Montevideo, Uruguay
Tailor my CV for this job — freeCompany DescriptionFrontline is building the AI Operating System for modern companies. Our agent, Max, builds a world model of how a company works: its customers, data, processes, knowledge, and systems. It uses that context to build software, automate workflows, and work alongside teams.Instead of companies stitching together dozens of applications, services, and manual processes, Frontline gives them one intelligent system that understands their business and helps run it.Role DescriptionFrontline is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) with a Salesforce development background to join our team in Montevideo. At the core of Frontline is a CRM: objects, fields, relationships, views, permissions, and automations. If you have built on Salesforce, you already think in these terms. You know how to turn the way a business works into a data model, and you know what breaks when that model is wrong. That is the skill we need most.As an FDE, you will work directly with customers to understand how their businesses operate, identify high-impact problems, and use Frontline to solve them. This is not a traditional implementation or support role. You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and the customer. You’ll design data models, build applications, agents, automations, and integrations that solve real business problems, often going from an idea to something running in production in days. You will also play a critical role in shaping Frontline itself. The patterns and problems you find in the field will directly influence what we build into the core platform. This is a full-time, on-site role in Carrasco, Montevideo.Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with customers to understand their businesses, systems, workflows, and operational problemsDesign and evolve each customer’s data model in Frontline: objects, fields, relationships, record types, views, and permissionsIdentify high-impact opportunities where AI and software can change how customers operateBuild and deploy applications, AI agents, automations, workflows, and integrations using FrontlineMove customer data and processes from Salesforce, HubSpot, spreadsheets, and other systems into FrontlineIntegrate Frontline with customer systems, APIs, databases, and third-party servicesPrototype solutions quickly, deploy them into production, and iterate directly with usersOwn customer problems end-to-end, from understanding the problem to shipping the solutionWork closely with Frontline’s product and engineering teams to turn patterns from the field into reusable platform capabilitiesHelp define how Forward Deployed Engineering works at Frontline as one of the early members of the teamQualificationsHands-on experience as a Salesforce developer: custom objects and fields, Apex, SOQL, Flows, Lightning Web Components, and the Salesforce security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules)Strong understanding of CRM data modeling and how sales, service, and operations teams use a CRM day to dayStrong software engineering fundamentalsProficiency in TypeScript, Python, or similar languages, or a clear track record of learning new languages quicklyExperience working with APIs, databases, and integrationsComfortable using AI coding tools and agents as part of your daily workflowStrong product intuition and ability to turn unclear business problems into technical solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customersFluent spoken and written EnglishAbility to move quickly and operate with significant autonomyBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceSalesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect) and experience with AI agents, LLMs, or B2B software are a plusOur Ideal CandidateBuilder: You would rather ship something than write a document about itCRM native: You look at a business and see objects, relationships, and the processes that connect themProduct-minded engineer: You care as much about solving the right problem as writing good codeCustomer obsessed: You want to understand how businesses actually work, not just the technical requirementsAI-first thinker: AI is part of how you build, not a feature you occasionally addFast learner: You can understand a new industry, system, or codebase quicklyAmbitious: You want to work on difficult problems with significant responsibilityCurious: You naturally double-click until you understand how something really worksExtreme owner: If you own the problem, you own the outcomeHigh agency: You don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do nextHard worker
