A growing international energy business is looking for a Financial Controller to lead its Financial Reporting function. The business is expanding through acquisitions, new energy markets and trading in more jurisdictions, therefore the scope of the role has grown.You’ll report to the Group Financial Controller. You’ll own financial reporting, control and statutory compliance for the UK, and oversee Group reporting, the Group audit and the Group Financial Controls Framework.Title: Financial Controller
Location: LondonSalary: £110-120,000, excellent bonus / benefitsWorking pattern: Hyrbid working, 2-3 days in the officeWhat you’ll doLead and develop the Financial Reporting team, delivering accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reportingOwn the integrity of the UK balance sheet, P&L and cash flow, and oversee the Group monthly consolidationLead the statutory and Group audits and manage the relationship with the external auditorsTake the Group control environment from a developing framework to a robust, scalable modelWork with Technical Accounting on IFRS and complex commercial arrangementsLead the finance response to international expansion, new trading activity and regulatory changeAct as finance lead on business-wide transformation, data and systems programmes, including Workday optimisationSupport acquisition integration across reporting, governance and controlsWhat you’ll bringACA, ACCA or equivalent, with at least four to five years’ post-qualification experience in financial reporting, audit or financial controlLeadership experience in a complex, multi-entity organisationStrong IFRS, consolidation and statutory reporting knowledgeExperience leading Group reporting and external auditsExperience designing or running financial control frameworksExperience leading finance workstreams on transformation or systems programmesEnergy or regulated industry experience, M&A or integration experience are highly desirablePackage:£110,000 – £120,000 (DOE)Excellent bonus & pensionExcellent benefits packageHybrid working (2-3 days in-office)This is a broad, visible role in a business that’s growing quickly.
