Financial Reporting Manager

We are working to support a UCITS Management Company in their search for a Financial Reporting Manager. As the business invests in public markets (UCITS), strong experience in this sector is essential.Please do not apply unless you have at least 5 years of UCITS funds experience in Luxembourg.Our client is a well-established international asset management group with a strong presence in Luxembourg and a diverse range of investment strategies and funds.Its Luxembourg-based UCITS Management Company plays a key role in the group's European operations, providing oversight of investment management activities, risk management, regulatory compliance and fund governance.They are looking for a proactive team player to provide effective oversight of their financial reporting and audit obligations for their funds. You will also lead financial and governance oversight activities for the Management Company itself. The role is broad, challenging and interesting. It will give you an insight into the workings of the Management Company, in addition to ownership of the financial oversight of the funds. You will review and challenge the work provided by third party administrators and auditors.Responsibilities include:Coordinate the annual reporting cycle for the funds, review financial statements and annual reportsConsider relevant regulatory implications impacting the fundsGive technical assistance on Lux GAAP and IFRS mattersDevelop a relationship with service providers and auditors, ensuring adherence to agreed KPIsProvide governance oversight for the Management CompanyReview the financial performance of the Management Company, creating reports and assess the existing governance frameworkAssist with budgets and expenses of the ManCoSeek to improve processes or procedures where you note a weakness or riskAct as a member of the internal control function for the funds and the Management CompanyAssist on projects relating to regulatory or business change

Requirements

Big 4 audit experience is strongly preferred Experience reviewing various Investment Management audit engagements is beneficial Sound practical experience of working with UCITS funds is essential4-8 years of relevant financial reporting experience 3+ years working in a UCITS Management CompanySolid understanding of Luxembourg liquid fund rangesUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similarGood knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRSStrong knowledge of accounting and financial reporting is expected
