Location: NorwayMarket Leading Salary + EquityThe RoleWe're looking for a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to join a hyper-growth AI start-up, helping enterprise customers take AI agents from idea to production.You'll work directly with customers, get hands-on with the technology and own the full journey from understanding the problem through to building, deployment and iteration.There isn't a cookie-cutter background for this role.

You could be a Software Engineer, AI/ML Engineer, Data Engineer, existing FDE, Founding Engineer, or even have built your own company.What matters is that you're technically strong, entrepreneurial and comfortable owning problems end-to-end. You'll thrive here if you're a builder who enjoys ambiguity, moves quickly and is equally comfortable writing code as you are working directly with customers.What you will doWork directly with customers to understand operational challenges and success criteria.Build AI agents that integrate with customer systems, data sources, and APIs.Translate open-ended problems into clear technical designs and implementations.Write production quality code to support integrations, logic, and workflows.Own deployments, including reliability, performance, and continuous improvement.Test with real data, measure outcomes, and iterate quickly.Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to improve the platform.Contribute to tools, documentation, and delivery practices that help us scale.Who You AreWe're more interested in what you've built and how you operate than a specific number of years' experience.Must have:Strong technical foundations across software engineering, AI/ML or data engineering.Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable operating in ambiguity.Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers.A high-ownership, entrepreneurial mindset.Someone who wants to build, ship and solve, rather than stay within a narrowly defined remit.Fluent Norwegian.
