Instrumentation, Control and Automation (ICA) / SCADA Lead

The incumbent will lead engineering teams and oversee ICA and SCADA design and supervision for large-scale infrastructure projects, including large and deep pumping stations, field instrumentation and associated control systems.

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation, Control and Automation is required.
• A master’s degree in a related engineering discipline is preferred.
• At least 15 years’ experience in ICA engineering design and supervision or a related field, including at least five years’ proven experience leading engineering teams in the UAE and managing large-scale infrastructure projects similar to DSST.
• Professional certification as a Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent is required.
• In-depth knowledge of ICA engineering principles, international and local industry standards, and regulatory requirements, with demonstrable experience in large and deep pumping stations and field instrumentation.
• Expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs), SCADA systems, human-machine interface (HMI) development, telemetry, industrial communication networks, Digital Twins and process control systems.
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation for flow, level, pressure, vibration, gas detection and water quality monitoring.
• Experience developing control philosophies, cause-and-effect matrices, functional design specifications and system architectures.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in spoken and written English.
