Your new role Lead the family office's investment strategy with a primary focus on secondary and public marketsManage and oversee a diversified portfolio across public equities and other liquid investmentsIdentify and evaluate investment opportunities through fundamental research, market analysis and disciplined due diligenceDrive asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management and investment performanceMonitor global macroeconomic, sector and market developments and translate insights into actionable investment ideasPresent investment recommendations and portfolio updates directly to the family principalReview existing investments and proactively adjust portfolio positioning based on market conditionsManage relationships with banks, external fund managers, brokers and other investment partnersBuild and lead the investment function and establish an institutional-quality investment framework for the family officeWhat you'll need to succeed Around 10 years of relevant investment experience gained from a leading asset manager, private bank or family officeDemonstrable investment track record in secondary/public markets, ideally with strong expertise in equities and HK marketStrong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, fundamental analysis and risk managementExperience managing significant investment portfolios with a long-term, absolute-return mindsetAble to combine hands-on investment execution with high-level strategic thinkingMature, discreet and commercially minded, with the ability to work directly with family principalsExcellent communication skills in Mandarin and English; Cantonese would be advantageousWhat you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' or for further information and a confidential discussion on this role or to find out about more opportunities in Accounting/ Finance, contact Lorraine and email your CV to lorraine.shan@hays.com.hk
