Live Simulation Training Coordinator

We are ready to deliver Belgian-built capabilities, underpinned by decades of experience supporting the Canadian Army, British Army and the wider North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) ecosystem.Position OverviewAs part of this initiative, Calian is currently looking for a Live Simulation (LIVESIM) Training Coordinator to support the Belgian Army Simulation Centre (SIMCEN) in Leopoldsburg, Belgium.ResponsibilitiesResponsible to the LIVESIM Manager for assigned LIVESIM training activitiesPlans and coordinates LIVESIM exercise design activities with the Primary Training Audience (PTA) to ensure training objectives are achievedCoordinates with the Training Development Section to ensure scenarios and training products support exercise requirementsDesigns LIVESIM exercise architectures and training event structures to achieve desired training effectsCoordinates the integration of DuelSim capabilities into overall exercise designsDevelops and maintains LIVESIM exercise plans, support products, schedules, and activity timelinesCoordinates Independent Contractor support requirements through the Operations ManagerSupervises Independent Contractors assigned to LIVESIM activitiesAssigns tasks to subordinate personnel during exercise planning and executionWorks with Belgian Defence Exercise Directors to coordinate dynamic execution of training support activitiesCoordinates collection of training data and supports development of After-Action Review productsParticipates in planning conferences, rehearsals, and exercise development activitiesSupports Lessons Learned collection and implementation activitiesMaintains working-level proficiency in DuelSim operations and equipment employmentServes as a backup LIVESIM Expert when requiredQualificationsCombat Arms background is preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience as a Unit-level Operations/Training staffPrevious experience coordinating Unit-level tactical field and/or CAX-enabled exercises is an assetPrevious experience participating in at least one DUELSIM-enabled exercise at the Company Headquarters (HQ) level is an assetProficiency in Dutch AND French at CEFR B2 level or higherAdditional RequirementsYou must be eligible to obtain a Belgian Security ClearanceYou must be able to work on-siteYou must be willing to travelCalian is committed to employment equity and values diversity.
