Mortgage Team Leader

Accountabilities and Key Roles:Lead and manage the mortgage direct sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver high-quality customer service.Develop, implement, and monitor sales strategies and action plans for mortgage products.Coach, mentor, and train team members on mortgage products, sales techniques, and compliance requirements.Oversee the end-to-end mortgage sales process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications and approvals.Collaborate with product, marketing, credit, and operations teams to support product launches, campaigns, and process improvements.Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and implementing performance improvement plans as needed.Ensure team adherence to regulatory requirements, risk standards, and internal policies in all sales activities.Prepare and present regular sales reports, pipeline updates, and forecasts to management.Resolve escalated customer issues and support the development of a customer-centric sales culture.Drive digital adoption and continuous improvement within the mortgage sales function.

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.Professional certifications in sales, mortgage lending, or banking (preferred).Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage sales, retail banking, or direct sales roles. Experience in banking or financial services sector. Proven track record in leading sales teams and achieving results.Competences:Strong leadership and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of mortgage products and sales processes.Excellent communication and customer relationship abilities.Analytical and data-driven decision-making.Training, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.Digital adoption and process improvement orientation.
