Process Quality & Product Industrialization Specialist

Functional Reporting Line:Puurs-Sint-Amands Plant Quality Manager.Job Purpose, Key Responsibilities and DutiesThe Process Quality & Product Industrialization Specialist will be responsible for all the activities related to in-process controls. Serving as a primary point of contact across production departments and warehouses (raw materials and finished goods), he/she will promote, guide and ensure the application of Food Safety Culture principles.Key ActivitiesEnsure production aligns with QA and R&D parameters, including line adjustments, settings, and scheduled technological/HACCP controls.Perform parallel process, product, and final inspections across production, refining, and packaging departments according to Work Instructions.Supervise line control activities (e.g., metal detectors, weight checks) and hold authority to halt production in case of serious non-conformities.Check coding equipment prior to startup (batch codes, product names, best before dates) and manage item codes in dedicated software (e.g., weight compliance monitoring).Conduct lab analyses on raw materials, semi-finished products and finished goods.Inspect inbound packaging material for quality document compliance.Assist the Quality Manager with overall food safety activities and cooperate in internal, customer, certification and Health Authority audits.Conduct GMP/GHP onboarding for new personnel and provide on-the-line coaching when new controls or procedures are introduced.Collaborate with R&D on product trials and sampling execution.Specific Position RequirementsQualifications and PrerequisitesAt least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food sector.Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Food Science & Technology or related fields.Knowledge of chemistry, microbiology and food hygiene best practices.Knowledge of English will be considered a plus.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.Soft SkillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong awareness in detecting potential critical product issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders.
