Product Specialist - Weighing/ Packaging Machines

Position: Assistant Manager- NPD ( New Product Development) Location: Gandhinagar, Gujarat Budget: Upto 15 LPARole SummaryThe Assistant Manager – NPD acts as the starting point for new machinedevelopment, translating market requirements into engineered solutions. Therole drives the complete product development cycle, from concept and designcalculations to prototyping, testing and production readiness, ensuring machinesare technically robust, reliable, manufacturable and cost-effective. Prepare 3D models, detailed part and assembly drawings with proper GD&T,BOMs and technical specifications Apply DFM/DFA principles so the machine is easy to fabricate, assemble andservice.Use FEA or simulation where the design needs it. Plan and supervise the prototype build with the production and vendorteams Define trial protocols, test against targets, analyse failures and close issuesand conduct DFMEA and design reviews at every stage gate. Support Channel partners to ensure achievement of annual plan & growthtargets. Release a production-ready documentation package and train themanufacturing and service teams. Support the first installations and use field feedback to improve the design Run the NPD Process with Stage Gate review mechanismMust Have: Proven NPD experience, with at least one machine or major module takenfrom concept to production Strong command of engineering fundamentals and the ability to performdesign calculations independently Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD Sound knowledge of GD&T, materials, fabrication, machining, standardmechanical components and pneumaticsPreference: Experience in weighing, packaging, filling, bagging, conveying or other specialpurpose machines Exposure to FEA tools, DFMEA and stage-gate NPD processes Understanding of hygienic or dust-tight design for food, pharma or chemicalapplications
