Production Manager

We have broadened our products beyond Sailing, Kitesurfing, Windsurfing to Paragliding, manufacturing of Tent & Accessories with more than 2000 employee strength.We are looking for a dedicated and results-driven person for the position of Production Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments.Communicate with customers and suppliers about forecasts, production plans, technical requirements, and issues that may affect production.Monitor production efficiency, productivity, and resource use; identify improvement opportunities and lead appropriate initiatives.Work with Planning, Quality Assurance, Industrial Engineering, Warehouse, and other relevant departments to coordinate production and resolve operational issues.Identify and address production bottlenecks, reduce material waste, and make effective use of manpower, machinery, and other resources.Apply Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and other operational excellence practices to improve productivity and process efficiency.Set and pursue short- and long-term departmental objectives through KPI monitoring, performance analysis, and action planning.Plan workforce requirements, support employee development, and ensure team members are trained to perform their roles safely, effectively, and in line with required procedures and standards.Keep up to date with developments in production technology, manufacturing methods, materials, and products. Work closely with suppliers to learn about and assess new materials, technologies, and product developments, and collaborate with relevant departments to trial and implement improvements that advance production capabilities and product competitiveness.Lead the evaluation and, where appropriate, implementation of new technologies, processes, and product improvements in coordination with relevant departments.Maintain product quality and workplace safety, and ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and applicable industry standards.Promote teamwork, accountability, employee engagement, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across production operations.Train and develop production team members through structured onboarding, hands-on instruction, and ongoing skills development. Identify training needs, ensure employees are competent in their assigned tasks and equipment, and follow up on training effectiveness.Qualification and ExperienceAt least 15 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including substantial responsibility for production operations and leadership of production teams.A degree or professional qualification in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
