The group is building out a central technology function to bring data, digital and IT delivery together across its businesses. It offers the stability of an established organisation with the energy of a team shaping how technology is delivered for years to come.The RoleThis is a new, senior role within Group Technology, reporting to the CIO with a matrix line into the Office of the CTO. You'll own technical delivery across the group, starting with a connected vehicle programme that brings together telematics, engineering, data and digital workstreams. Alongside that, you'll run several initiatives at once, including a Salesforce harmonisation project, and set the standards for how technical change is delivered as the function grows towards a group PMO. No manufacturing or engineering sector background is needed... strong delivery experience from any IT, data or digital environment will translate well. It suits a hands on, pragmatic delivery lead who enjoys building structure where none exists.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn technical projects and programmes end to end across Data, Digital and ITLead the connected vehicle programme, coordinating engineering, data and digital workstreamsManage several technology initiatives at once, including Salesforce harmonisationPlan, budget and resource projects, managing risk, issues and dependenciesAlign business, executive and technical stakeholders behind a shared planTranslate technical detail into clear options for senior leadershipRemove blockers and drive change through to adoptionBuild templates, standards and lightweight governance for a new group delivery functionGrow the function towards a group PMO as further project managers joinUse AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude to speed up planning, documentation and reportingWhat You'll NeedEssential:5+ years managing technical projects in an IT, data or digital environmentExperience running several projects concurrentlyA track record of hands on, end to end delivery, driving change through to adoptionThe full project management toolkit, covering planning, budgets, risk, dependencies, governance and reportingStrong stakeholder management across business, executive and technical audiencesConfidence engaging with engineers and technical teamsA degree in a technical, IT, data or business discipline, or equivalent experienceEligibility to work in the UKDesirable / Nice to Have:A recognised qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, Agile or MSPExposure to telematics, connected vehicle, IoT or Salesforce deliveryExperience setting up a PMO or new delivery functionWhy Apply?Up to £70,000 plus bonusAnnual leave, pension and life assurance schemeHybrid working in BallymenaOnsite parkingThe chance to build and shape a new group wide delivery functionDirect access to senior leadership across the groupHigh profile work across connected vehicle, data and digital transformationNext StepsInterested?
