About the Role

Job Title: Python Backend Developer Experience: 6–9 Years Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Python Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs.

Pharma or Life Sciences domain experience is preferred.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop backend applications and services using Python.Build and maintain REST APIs using FastAPI, Django, or Flask.Implement business logic and integrate with internal and third-party systems.Design database schemas, write SQL queries, and optimize database performance.Develop data-processing workflows and background jobs.Implement authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance and reliability.Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.Support application deployment and maintenance.Required SkillsMandatory Skills6–9 years of software development experience, with strong hands-on Python backend development.Strong Python programming, object-oriented design, data structures, and exception handling.Experience with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and backend services.Strong SQL and relational database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.Experience integrating APIs, databases, and external services.Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2 and JWT.Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Agile development.Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred SkillsGood-to-Have SkillsPharma / Life Sciences domain experience.Awareness of GxP requirements, audit trails, and data integrity principles.AWS, Azure, or GCP.Docker and Kubernetes.Microservices and event-driven architecture.Asynchronous programming and background processing using Celery or similar tools.Kafka or RabbitMQ.MongoDB or Redis.Core Hiring Focus: Python Backend Development + FastAPI/Django/Flask + REST APIs + SQL + System Integratio
