Proudly recognized by The Globe and Mail as one of Canada’s Top 500 Growing Companies (2021–2025).JOB DESCRIPTIONOur Quality team is growing and is adding a Quality Assurance Coordinator to work on-site in our corporate office. The position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and works collaboratively with the Logistics and Sales teams. This role may require some travel to audit our suppliers.The individual will:Develop, implement, and audit procedures in keeping with JQI’s quality system to achieve its quality objectives and regulatory requirementsAudit manufacturing facilities where required Perform appropriate risk assessments to ensure suppliers can meet quality assurance, food safety and regulatory requirements Manage supplier compliance documents ensuring they are current; simultaneously update customers’ documentation platformsParticipate in the development, review, and approval of product labels Develop product specifications in conformance with US and Canadian Grade standards and customer requirementsReview and approve COAsDocument, investigate, and respond to customer complaints, following up with suppliers on RCA and CAPAsAnalyze and trend customer complaints using statistical charts QUALIFICATIONSPost-Secondary Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance experience in food manufacturing Certification as a PCQI or Quality System Internal Auditor Demonstrable experience implementing and auditing HACCP or GFSI standardsExperience with organic certification - USDA NOP or COP an assetKnowledgeable of FDA or CFIA labeling regulationsExperience in thermal processing an assetExcellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skillsDetail-oriented; works well unsupervisedStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including pivot tables and statistical chartsExcellent oral and written EnglishJust Quality International is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
