SAP S4HANA Finance Lead

The OpportunityWe're growing our S/4HANA practice and looking for a Finance Lead to anchor it on the finance side. You'll lead the design and delivery of S/4HANA Finance for clients across a range of industries, running discovery and fit-to-standard sessions, shaping the solution, and guiding the team through build, test and cutover.This is a hands-on lead role. You'll be the person clients trust on finance design, and the person our consultants turn to when a tricky requirement lands. Most of our work sits in RISE with SAP environments across ASEAN, so you'll deal with multi-entity, multi-currency and multi-country finance operations regularly.About vVolve Management Consultants Pte LtdvVolve Management Consultants is an SAP services partner. We help organisations plan, move to and run SAP S/4HANA, with a strong focus on RISE with SAP programmes across Southeast Asia.We're a lean, senior-heavy team, so you'll get real ownership early, work directly with client leadership, and have a say in how our S/4HANA practice is built.Core ResponsibilitiesDiscovery & Fit-to-Standard: Lead finance discovery and fit-to-standard workshops, document the requirements and gaps, and help clients decide what to adopt as standard and what genuinely needs extending.Solution Design: Own the design for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank and Cash, Controlling and period-end close on the Universal Journal.Implementation Leadership: Lead the finance workstream through SAP Activate phases: explore, realize, deploy and run. Plan the work, manage the team and keep delivery on track.RISE Environment Delivery: Work within the RISE with SAP model, including clean-core principles, standard extensibility, and how SAP-managed upgrades and scope items affect design decisions.Data & Migration: Define the finance migration approach, including balances, open items and assets, and support reconciliation and sign-off with client finance teams.Integration & Localisation: Align finance design with procurement, sales and project systems, and handle regional requirements such as tax, e-invoicing and statutory reporting across ASEAN countries.Mentoring & Quality: Review the work of consultants in your workstream, coach team members, and contribute to our reusable accelerators and templates.Client Engagement: Talk to CFOs, financial controllers and project sponsors in plain language, and keep stakeholders informed on progress, risks and decisions.Requirements & QualificationsSAP Consulting Experience: Extensive SAP finance consulting experience, with a track record of leading finance workstreams on full S/4HANA implementations (typically 10+ years in SAP, with several end-to-end projects).SAP RISE Environments: Hands-on delivery in RISE with SAP environments, covering both discovery and implementation phases. ASEAN Experience: Prior project experience in the ASEAN region, with a good grasp of regional statutory, tax and multi-currency considerations.Core Finance Depth: Strong working knowledge of S/4HANA FI/CO: Universal Journal (ACDOCA), GL, AP/AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Centre and Profit Centre Accounting, Product Costing and Profitability Analysis.Methodology: Comfortable with SAP Activate and fit-to-standard delivery, and with writing clear functional specifications, test scripts and cutover plans.Leadership: Experience leading and mentoring teams, working remotely with clients and colleagues, and holding your own with senior finance stakeholders.Communication: Excellent written and spoken English, and a calm approach when timelines get tight.Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, information systems or a related field. A professional accounting qualification is a plus.Highly DesirableProject-Driven Industry Experience: Prior work in project-led sectors such as engineering and construction, energy, infrastructure, marine and shipbuilding, mining, utilities, manufacturing or property development. Familiarity with project accounting, work in progress and long-running contracts is a definite plus.Project Systems & Revenue Recognition: Experience integrating FI/CO with Project System (WBS-based accounting) and with SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (IFRS 15).Group Reporting & Closing: Knowledge of SAP Group Reporting, Advanced Financial Closing, intercompany reconciliation and consolidation.Adjacent Modules: Working awareness of SD and MM integration points, including account determination and output determination.SAP Certifications: SAP S/4HANA Finance certification, or SAP Activate certification.Languages: Mandarin, Bahasa or another regional language is helpful for client-facing work.What We OfferReal Project Exposure: You'll work on live SAP programmes, from early discovery workshops through to go-live and hypercare, not just a slice of one phase.Competitive Package: Market-aligned compensation, discussed openly based on your experience and the scope you will own.
