Senior Backend/DevOps Engineer

Hybrid working in the Delft.Salary is DOE - €75,000 - €100,000.We’re working with a technically ambitious Healthcare AI software company that is building and operating complex infrastructure at scale. They’re looking for a Senior Backend / DevOps Engineer who enjoys working close to the infrastructure, solving technically difficult problems, and having genuine ownership over how systems are built and operated.This is a role for someone who is comfortable moving between software engineering, Linux, infrastructure and platform engineering - rather than someone focused purely on traditional DevOps tooling.The roleYou’ll work across the backend and infrastructure stack, helping build reliable platforms that support demanding workloads.You’ll be involved in:Building and maintaining backend services and infrastructure - Typescript/Python/GCP/AzureDesigning and improving Linux-based systems and environmentsWorking with on-premise infrastructure alongside cloud technologiesTaking ownership of platform reliability, scalability and performanceImproving deployment, automation, observability and operational processesWhat we're looking forWe’re particularly interested in engineers who have a strong software engineering foundation with Typescript and Python, alongside substantial infrastructure experience.You’ll ideally have:Strong TypeScript experienceBroader programming experience in one or more additional languagesStrong knowledge of LinuxExperience working with on-premise infrastructureExperience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or SREA good understanding of networking, systems and infrastructureExperience building or operating production systemsA strong approach to automation and engineering qualityThe ability to investigate problems across the application and infrastructure layersHighly valued skills:Experience with GPU infrastructure / GPU servers would be particularly interesting.You don't necessarily need to have worked specifically with GPUs, but experience with high-performance computing, demanding workloads, large-scale infrastructure or hardware-level troubleshooting would also be relevant.We do not offer HSM VISA for this roleYou must already be located in the NL.
