We are seeking a hands-on Senior Frontend Engineer to build fast, polished, and accessible user interfaces for our web products, including SEO-critical real estate platforms and highly interactive experiences such as media editing and live streaming. The role has a strong focus on front-end architecture, web performance, UI quality, and developer experience, built with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and back-end engineers, and actively use AI tools to raise your speed and quality. Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional, high-performing user experiences and raise the front-end engineering bar across the team.
Responsibilities
Front-End Architecture & DevelopmentOwn the architecture of our Next.js applications: App Router, server and client components, routing, layouts, data fetching, and code organization.Choose the right rendering strategy per page (SSR, SSG, ISR, or client-side) and design caching and revalidation to balance freshness, speed, and cost.Build reusable component libraries and a shared design system with design.Develop complex, interactive UIs (editors, dashboards, real-time views) that stay responsive and maintainable at scale.Web Performance, SEO & QualityOwn web performance: Core Web Vitals, bundle size, code splitting, streaming and lazy loading, image and font optimization, and caching strategy, measured with Lighthouse, profiling tools, and real-user monitoring.Own technical SEO for public pages: metadata, structured data, sitemaps, canonical URLs, and crawlability.Ensure accessibility (WCAG), responsive layouts, and consistent behavior across browsers and devices.Define and apply a front-end testing strategy (unit, component, end-to-end) and build observability with error tracking and performance monitoring.Security & DeliveryApply front-end security best practices: XSS and CSRF prevention, secure token and cookie handling, Content Security Policy, and safe use of third-party dependencies.Contribute to build tooling and CI/CD pipelines, including Next.js deployment and environment configuration.Estimate work, manage priorities, and communicate progress and risks clearly to all stakeholders.Collaboration & LeadershipPartner with designers to turn Figma designs into pixel-accurate, polished interfaces, and give constructive feedback on feasibility and UX.Conduct code reviews, mentor mid-level and junior engineers, and establish front-end coding standards and best practices.Document key technical decisions and trade-offs, balancing delivery speed with long-term maintainability.AI & InnovationUse AI tools daily for coding, code reviews, testing, and documentation, while critically reviewing their output.Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.Required Qualifications:5+ years of professional front-end engineering experience, including 3+ years with React and 2+ years building production applications with Next.js.Strong hands-on experience with Next.js (App Router, server components, SSR/SSG/ISR, route handlers, middleware, caching and revalidation).Expert knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Deep knowledge of React (hooks, context, rendering behavior), state management (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar), and data fetching (React Query or similar).Proven track record of measurable web performance improvements (Core Web Vitals, bundle size, rendering) and solid understanding of technical SEO.Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems with responsive, accessible UIs.Strong experience with automated testing (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or Playwright).Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Daily, practical use of AI tools (e.g. Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) in the development workflow.Preferred:Experience with Canvas, WebGL, SVG, node-based editors (e.g. React Flow), or media editing UIs.Experience with real-time and streaming UIs (WebSockets, WebRTC).Experience building UIs on top of LLM or generative AI APIs (e.g. streaming responses).
