We provide deep technical expertise, structured delivery, and defensible architectural outcomes aligned to mission and regulatory requirements.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Architect to lead the design of VMware Cloud Foundation and sovereign cloud solutions. This role translates customer requirements, constraints and operational needs into coherent architectures, ensuring alignment between design intent, implementation approach and customer outcomes. The Architect stays close to delivery, guiding consultants, defending design decisions, identifying risks early and contributing reusable patterns back into the practice. The role offers a defined growth path into specialist NSX and VKS architecture positions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesLead technical discovery, design analysis and architecture development for VCF and sovereign cloud engagementsTranslate business, security, operational, regulatory and technical requirements into practical VCF architecture outcomesOwn high level and low level designs, decision records, assumptions, risks, constraints and design traceabilityDefine implementation guardrails to ensure delivery teams build against approved architectureLead customer workshops, design reviews, governance sessions and architecture walkthroughsIdentify design risks, delivery risks, dependency gaps, scope concerns and commercial impactsSupport consultants during implementation, troubleshooting, design clarification and operational handoverContribute reusable reference architectures, patterns, standards and lessons learnedMentor consultants on design intent, delivery patterns and quality expectationsEducation/Certifications Required4+ years hands on VMware platform experienceRecent experience with VCF 9 or VCF 5.2 / vSphere 8 in production or delivery contextsExperience designing or delivering VCF environments end to endKnowledge/Skills RequiredStrong experience across vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN and NSXUnderstanding of single region and multi region VCF design considerationsExperience with upgrades and migrations across VCF and vSphere versionsExperience leading or operating as senior technical resource on private cloud or regulated environment engagementsExperience running customer discovery, design, validation and governance workshopsStrong documentation capability including designs, decision records, risks and operational considerationsAbility to design for constraints not fully covered by reference architecturesExperience supporting implementation teams through design clarification and troubleshootingExperience working in structured delivery environments with scope boundaries, design review and formal acceptanceAbility to engage directly with senior customer technical stakeholdersHighly DesirableSpecialist depth in NSX networkingNSX design for VCF including routing, segmentation, multi tenancy, load balancing and multi site considerationsDesirableVCF operations and observability including monitoring, health, capacity and alertingExperience mentoring consultants and contributing reusable design patternsEmployment BenefitsDefined growth path into specialist NSX and VKS architecture rolesWork within a high performing sovereign cloud practiceExposure to complex, regulated and mission critical customer environmentsSupport for certification progression including VCF 9 Architect, Administrator and VCAP specialisationsCollaborative team culture with strong mentoring and knowledge sharingDiversity and InclusionWe are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
