Senior Procurement Officer

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Officer with a strong background in manufacturing, metal fabrication, steel structures, galvanization, and chemicals.

Key Responsibilities

Manage procurement of raw materials, chemicals, and consumables for manufacturing, metal fabrication, steel structure, and galvanization operations.Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.Negotiate prices and payment terms, prepare purchase orders, and monitor deliveries.Coordinate with production, stores, and finance to support operational requirements.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards and accurate procurement records.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering will be an advantage.Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience within the UAE in manufacturing, metal fabrication, steel structures, galvanization, and chemicals.Strong experience sourcing steel, aluminium, welding materials, fabrication consumables, and chemicals used in manufacturing and galvanization.Sound knowledge of UAE suppliers, material specifications, pricing, and market availability.Proven ability to negotiate commercial terms, evaluate quotations, and manage supplier relationships.Strong planning and coordination skills to ensure timely material availability.Must be based in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi.Candidates available to join immediately will have an advantage.
