Accountant

Location: New Baltimore, MIAbout the RoleThe Staff Accountant will prepare financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, perform account reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.ResponsibilitiesPrepare journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.Assist with monthly financial statements and reporting.Prepare financial reports to support management decisions.Monitor budgets, revenue, expenses, and financial performance.Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, and tax accounts.Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.Process payments and verify supporting documentation.Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations.Calculate tax liabilities and prepare tax returns.Provide accounting support to internal and external customers.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field, or equivalent experience.3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently.Willingness to learn and grow with the company.Fluent in English; Korean language skills are a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to work at a desk and computer for extended periods.Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, and reach as needed.Ability to perform repetitive typing and writing tasks.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
