Application Security Manager - Dubai

Looking to hire a Data & Application Security Manager who will lead the organization's data security strategy and secure its expanding Azure cloud environment.What We're Looking For - This role is ideal for a Data Security Leader who can own and drive a security programme, rather than a traditional Microsoft 365 engineer or a purely managerial profile. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the organisation's data security roadmap while remaining technically involved in its execution.This is a critical role for a candidate who combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise, particularly in Data Classification, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Microsoft Purview, and Azure Security.Key ResponsibilitiesData Security Programme LeadershipLead the end-to-end rollout of the organisation's data classification, labelling, and DLP programme.Design and implement data governance and protection frameworks using Microsoft Purview.Drive user adoption and manage organisational change across multiple business units.Engage senior stakeholders and leadership to secure buy-in and champion data security initiatives.Align data protection strategies with the organisation's growing AI and data transformation agenda.Azure & Cloud SecurityOwn security architecture and controls for the organisation's Azure IaaS environment.Secure Azure landing zones and ensure cloud security best practices are embedded from day one.Define and implement security technologies, policies, and governance within Azure.Ensure consistency between on-premises and cloud security controls.RequirementsProven experience leading a Data Classification, Sensitivity Labelling, and DLP programme from strategy through implementation.Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (highly preferred) or equivalent data security platforms.Solid background in Azure Security, including landing zones, cloud governance, and security controls.Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and the broader Microsoft Security stack.Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leaders, manage resistance, and drive business adoption.Experience within government, regulated, or highly security-conscious environments is advantageous.
