Chief Executive OfficerOur client is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to lead a newly formed, Dublin-based non-life insurance start-up intermediary. This CEO role offers the chance to shape a pre-authorisation business at a pivotal stage, with responsibility for guiding the company through Central Bank of Ireland registration and into operational launch. You will play a hands-on leadership role across underwriting, financial oversight, and regulatory engagement, helping to build a disciplined, technology-enabled commercial insurance proposition. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded insurance leader who can combine regulatory credibility with strong operational judgement.ResponsibilitiesLead the business through the Central Bank of Ireland authorisation processSupport the firm’s readiness for registration as an insurance intermediaryAct as the named responsible individual for insurance distributionManage ongoing regulatory relationships with confidence and clarityOversee day-to-day leadership of the business, including underwriting activity, commercial decision-making, and financial controlHelp shape and launch the company’s commercial product offering, including SME and technology startup insurance packagesRequirementsProven senior experience in commercial non-life insuranceIdeally prior exposure to MGA or delegated underwriting authority modelsClient facing and sales focusedStrong knowledge of regulated insurance environmentsAbility to lead interactions with the Central Bank of IrelandEvidence of having supported or led an insurance business through authorisation, registration, or similar regulatory approval processesProfessional insurance qualifications such as ACII, FCII, Certified Insurance Practitioner or APA preferredHands-on leader with the judgement, integrity, and capacity expected of a CEO in a regulated setting
