Chief Financial OfficerLondon based | £200k + package | Hybrid workingSMC2910Company OverviewA high-growth, private equity-backed consultancy business with c.£60m revenue is seeking a commercially focused CFO to join the executive leadership team.The business has established a strong market position and is entering its next phase of growth, with the investment thesis centred around organic expansion, operational improvement and selective M&A. The CFO will play a central role in professionalising the finance function, improving commercial insight and supporting the CEO and PE investor in delivering the value creation plan.Role SummaryAs Chief Financial Officer, you will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic growth and providing strong commercial leadership across the organisation.Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the PE board, you will oversee the full finance function while providing clear insight around revenue, utilisation, project profitability, margins, cash conversion and management of the consultancy's cost base.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the financial strategy in line with the business's growth plan and PE investment thesis.Partner closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on commercial and strategic decision-making.Drive greater visibility across utilisation, billable rates, project profitability, revenue forecasting, headcount and consultant productivity.Strengthen FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and management information to support data-led decision-making.Improve financial controls, cash management and working capital, including WIP, billing and debtor management.Support organic growth initiatives and lead the financial aspects of M&A, integration and potential future exit preparation.Manage relationships with the PE investor, board, lenders, auditors and other key external stakeholders.Build and develop a high-performing finance function capable of supporting a growing c.£60m professional services business.Candidate Profile – Must HaveProven CFO or senior finance leadership experience within a consultancy or professional services environment.Strong understanding of the key commercial drivers of a people-led business, including utilisation, pricing, project profitability, margins and resource management.Experience working within a private equity-backed business and delivering against a value creation plan.Track record of supporting a business through organic growth and/or M&A.Strong commercial capability alongside robust financial control, FP&A and cash management experience.Experience engaging with PE investors and boards at a senior level.ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent.If interested, please send your CV to sam.mcdermott@finatal.com.
