We're Hiring | Consultant General Surgeon📍 Location: Dubai💼 Employment Type: Full-TimeWe are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant General Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in general surgical procedures, laparoscopic surgery, emergency surgery, and comprehensive surgical patient management. The role requires excellent surgical skills, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose and manage a wide range of general surgical conditionsPerform elective and emergency general surgical proceduresConduct laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgeries, including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernia repairManage gastrointestinal, abdominal, hepatobiliary, and soft tissue surgical conditions within authorized clinical privilegesEvaluate patients through comprehensive preoperative assessments and diagnostic investigationsDevelop individualized surgical treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based guidelinesProvide postoperative care, monitor recovery, and manage surgical complicationsRespond to acute surgical emergencies, including abdominal emergencies, bowel obstruction, and gastrointestinal perforationInterpret ultrasound, CT scans, MRI findings, and other relevant surgical investigationsCollaborate with anesthesiologists, gastroenterologists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary surgical teamsEnsure compliance with DHA regulations, surgical safety protocols, infection control, and patient care standardsRequirementsQualificationsMBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degreeRecognized postgraduate qualification or residency training in General SurgeryBoard certification or equivalent recognized consultant-level qualification in General SurgeryAmerican Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirableMinimum 5-10 years of relevant post-specialization experience preferredStrong expertise in laparoscopic surgery, emergency surgical procedures, and complex general surgical managementExcellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, communication, and leadership abilitiesEligible for DHA Consultant General Surgery classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirementsBenefitsCompetitive salary package and attractive employment benefitsOpportunity to work in a leading healthcare facility in DubaiModern operating theatres and advanced surgical technologiesMedical insurance and annual leave, subject to applicable employment termsExcellent career growth and professional development opportunitiesLicensing assistance available for eligible candidatesImportant Note for ApplicantsIf you have already submitted your CV to Astra Promed FZC , please do not reapply for the same or other advertised positions.
