JOB TITLEDigital Art Image Research Assistant — Visual Research & Image SourcesABOUT THE JOBDe Art is an independent, internet-based visual arts media platform dedicated to sharing art, artists, and cultural knowledge with a wider audience.We are looking for a detail-oriented Digital Art Image Research Assistant to help identify and document suitable images for editorial and educational content. The role combines visual research, source verification, and image documentation to support accurate and responsible digital publishing.RESPONSIBILITIES- Research artworks, artists, exhibitions, and visual references relevant to planned editorial content.- Locate suitable images through official museum collections, gallery websites, artist portfolios, and other reliable sources.- Verify image captions, artwork titles, artist names, dates, and source information where available.- Record image credits, source links, and relevant licensing or permission requirements.- Distinguish between images available for public viewing and images authorized for reuse or publication.- Maintain organized records of researched images and their associated metadata.- Check image relevance, resolution, clarity, and consistency with editorial requirements.- Flag uncertain attributions, conflicting information, and unclear usage rights for editorial review.- Coordinate with writers and editors to match visual materials with articles and other digital content.- Follow copyright, attribution, and responsible image-use practices.QUALIFICATIONS- A strong interest in visual arts, art history, photography, and digital media.- Good online research and source-verification skills.- Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.- Clear written communication and the ability to document sources consistently.- Familiarity with image formats, basic image-quality criteria, and digital file organization.- An understanding of copyright, image licensing, and attribution principles, or a willingness to learn.- Ability to manage several research tasks and meet agreed deadlines.- Previous experience in visual research, digital publishing, image libraries, or arts-related work is an advantage.- Good English reading and writing skills; additional languages are a plus.WHAT WE OFFER- An opportunity to contribute to an independent digital visual arts media platform.- Practical experience in visual research and responsible digital publishing.- Collaboration with an editorial team working across art, artists, and visual culture.- An opportunity to develop skills in image documentation and digital content research.HOW TO APPLYPlease email the following materials to farhang@parsikia.ir:- A CV of no more than two pages.- A cover letter of no more than one page explaining your interest in the role.- Links to three relevant projects or examples of previous work, where available.- Contact details for two professional references, including their names, roles, and contact information.Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview and may be asked to complete a short, role-specific practical assignment.De Art welcomes applications from qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds who are passionate about visual arts, visual research, and responsible digital publishing.
