The ECG Technician will perform and record electrocardiograms (ECGs), monitor cardiac rhythms, and assist with telemetry as directed by clinical staff. Daily tasks include preparing patients for procedures, correctly placing leads, ensuring equipment is functioning, and documenting results in accordance with medical protocols. The role involves collaborating with cardiology teams, accurately using medical terminology, and communicating findings or concerns to healthcare professionals. The technician will follow safety and confidentiality standards, support workflow efficiency, and help maintain equipment and records.Qualifications Strong skills in Cardiac Monitoring and Telemetry, with the ability to accurately record and interpret ECG data.Foundational knowledge of Cardiology principles relevant to ECG testing and rhythm assessment.Proficiency in Communication and Medical Terminology to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.Certificate or diploma in ECG Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related allied health field.Prior experience as an ECG Technician or in a similar cardiac monitoring role is preferred.Attention to detail, reliability in following clinical protocols, and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing time and responsibilities both on-site and remotely.
