Environment health safety trainer

Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced EHS Trainer to develop and deliver Environment, Health & Safety training programmes to employees, contractors, and other stakeholders. The role involves promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with applicable HSE regulations, and equipping employees with the knowledge and skills required to maintain a safe working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, develop, and deliver EHS training programmes, including induction, toolbox talks, and job-specific safety training.Conduct training on topics such as fire safety, working at heights, confined space entry, personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response.Assess training needs and develop training materials, presentations, and practical demonstrations.Conduct competency assessments and evaluate training effectiveness.Maintain training records, attendance sheets, assessment results, and certification documentation.Coordinate with EHS teams, department heads, and site supervisors to identify training requirements.Conduct site visits and safety awareness sessions to reinforce safe working practices.Support safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action initiatives, where required.Ensure training content aligns with applicable UAE regulations, client requirements, and recognised EHS standards.Promote continuous improvement in safety awareness and employee engagement.RequirementsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.Relevant experience in EHS/HSE training, preferably within industrial, construction, manufacturing, or other high-risk environments.Recognised HSE qualifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent.Relevant trainer certification or Train-the-Trainer qualification is an advantage.Strong knowledge of risk assessments, hazard identification, incident prevention, and emergency procedures.Excellent presentation, communication, and classroom facilitation skills.Ability to deliver both theoretical and practical training sessions.Proficiency in preparing training materials, maintaining records, and using MS Office.Familiarity with UAE HSE regulations and industry-specific safety requirements.Key CompetenciesEffective communication and presentationTraining delivery and facilitationSafety leadership and awarenessStrong organisational and documentation skillsAnalytical thinking and problem-solvingAbility to engage employees at different levelsKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Completion of the annual EHS training plan.Training attendance and completion rates.Improvement in employee safety awareness and competency.Training assessment results and effectiveness.Accuracy and compliance of training records.Contribution to reducing workplace incidents through effective safety education.Experience: 1-2 YearsSalary: AED 5000
