Founder's office (intern)
Norvia Labs · India
Tailor my CV for this job — freeNorvia Labs builds open-source tools for putting AI agents to work inside limits you set.Forge is our terminal coding environment where AI agents run inside an OS sandbox. It's written in Rust, MIT-licensed, and in public beta: github.com/norvialabs/forgeConclave, coming soon, lets teams of AI agents and people work together with limits built in: bounded runs, approvals for anything that changes the world, and Studio, a no-code builder. The Founder's office works directly with the founder on whatever moves the company forward. We're hiring interns across four tracks. Pick the one that fits you best.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━TRACK 1: GO-TO-MARKET━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Own how developers discover, try, and stick with Forge, and help launch Conclave. What you'll do
- Get developers from "never heard of Forge" to "installed it and shipped something." Find where they are (Hacker News, Reddit, Rust and AI-agent communities, GitHub) and show up with useful content, not ads.
- Write walkthroughs, comparisons, and short demos that teach the problem Forge solves.
- Help plan the Conclave launch: early-access list, who to talk to first, launch-day posts.
- Talk to users and report what stopped them. You might be a fit if
- You've used a coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar) enough to have opinions about it.
- You write clearly and can explain a technical idea without hype.
- You're comfortable reaching out to people you don't know and following up.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━TRACK 2: DESIGN ENGINEERING━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Design and build the interfaces that make AI agents understandable and trustworthy. What you'll do
- Build UI for Conclave Studio, a canvas where people build, test, and run teams of agents. It shows the plan while you edit and the live run while it runs.
- Design the moments where trust is won or lost: what an agent did, what's blocked, and what needs a person's approval.
- Polish norvialabs.com and the Forge site.
- Prototype fast, test with real users, ship, and repeat. You might be a fit if
- You design and code. You can take a rough idea to working HTML/CSS/JS yourself.
- You care about the details: type, spacing, motion, empty states, error states.
- You have a portfolio or projects with live links.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━TRACK 3: FULL-STACK DEVELOPMENT━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Build the runtime and product that agents and people actually run on.What you'll do
- Ship features across Conclave's Python runtime, REST API, and Studio's web frontend.
- Build integrations agents work through (GitHub, issue trackers, chat, documents), including OAuth and permissions.
- Harden the limits that make agents safe to run: budgets, approvals, run evidence.
- Write tests, fix real bugs, and own features end to end.
- Bonus: contribute to Forge (Rust). You might be a fit if
- You've built and shipped something with a backend and a frontend, and can show the code.
- You're comfortable in Python and JavaScript; Rust is a plus.
- You read unfamiliar code before changing it, and you test what you ship.
- You use AI coding tools and know where they fall short.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━TRACK 4: RESEARCH ASSOCIATE━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Turn questions about AI agents and the market into evidence we can act on.What you'll do
- Compare agent frameworks and tools (LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, OpenAI Agents SDK, coding agents) by building the same task in each and writing up what you find.
- Design and run evaluations: where agents fail, how often, and what limits actually prevent.
- Research markets and users: who needs bounded, auditable agents, and what they use today.
- Write clear, sourced briefs that lead to decisions. You might be a fit if
- You're curious and rigorous. You separate what you measured from what you assumed.
- You can write code well enough to run experiments (Python preferred).
- You write clearly, with sources.
- Bonus: a background in CS, ML, HCI, or economics, or published writing or research.━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ALL TRACKS━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━What you get
- Work directly with the founder, an engineer with 18 years building platforms at Booking.com, LinkedIn, Postman, and Moveworks.
- Real ownership, with shipped, public work you can point to.
- A certificate and, for strong work, a detailed letter of recommendation.
- Flexible hours. Can count toward academic internship credit.DetailsFully remote · 3–6 monthsHow to applyPut your track in the first line of your resume or application note, along with:
- Go-to-Market: links to 1–2 things you've written.
- Design Engineering: your portfolio (live links preferred) and one interface you think is badly designed, with how you'd fix it.
- Full-Stack Development: your GitHub, or a project you built with a link to its code.
- Research Associate: one piece of research or analysis you've written, and a question about AI agents you'd want to answer.
