General Manager (MedTech)

We are pleased to be partnering a strong-performing healthcare platform to appoint a General Manager (one down from CEO-equivalent) to join their leadership team and lead the Vietnam operations. Backed by among the most prestigious investment firms on the market, our client partners global healthcare giants to deliver world-class products in a rapidly growing industry. This role is based in Ho Chi Minh City. The RoleFull P&L leadership of their range of distributed products crosscutting cardiovascular, surgical consumables etc.: revenue, gross profit, receivables, inventory health, project pipeline, installation, acceptance and collectionsKey account and tender strategy; senior relationship management with hospital leadership and cliniciansMarketing leadership (plan, budget, events, campaigns)Operations leadership: supply chain, warehouse, sales administration, after-sales, demand planning and monthly S&OPMarket development in the Northern region (Hà Tĩnh northward) through sub-dealer networkPrincipal management (operating contact for business reviews, forecasts and Distribution Agreement obligations)Monthly forecasting, performance reporting and reviews with the international parentTeam leadership, coaching and succession building across commercial, marketing, operations and tender teamsIdeal CandidateAround 15 years’ experience, predominantly as General Manager, Country Manager, Deputy Director or BU Director, with full P&L responsibility in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and other adjacent industriesDeep, hands-on knowledge of the Vietnamese hospital market, public tenders and Ministry of Health regulatory environmentProven experience working with international principals (ideally both multinational and distributor side)Strong financial and commercial acumen (P&L, margin, working capital, pricing, tender strategy, key account management)Experience operating under foreign-investor / multinational governance, reporting and compliance standardsTrack record of building and developing leadership teamsProfessional fluency in English required; fluency in Vietnamese is mandatoryAbility to bridge Vietnamese and international business cultures, and calm accountability under pressureThis is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact role with a potential pathway to CEO in a well-capitalised platform that is consolidating a fragmented but high-growth sector.Janard LiewPrincipal Consultant - Executive SearchEmail: janard@evolute.sgPersonnel Registration Number: R21100704
