Warsaw | Hybrid | Confidential SearchWe are supporting an international business with manufacturing operations in the appointment of a Group Chief Accountant based in Warsaw.This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with responsibility for a team and an international reporting environment.The roleYou will take ownership of the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls and compliance with relevant accounting and tax requirements.Key responsibilities include:Leading and developing the accounting team in Warsaw.Overseeing Polish statutory accounting, financial statements and tax compliance.Preparing consolidated financial statements for the group, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.Managing month-end and year-end closing processes.Ensuring accurate inventory valuation and manufacturing cost accounting.Coordinating external audits and working with international stakeholders.Improving accounting processes, internal controls and financial systems.What we're looking forSignificant experience in accounting, including several years in a Chief Accountant, Head of Accounting or comparable leadership position.Strong practical knowledge of Polish accounting standards and tax regulations.Hands-on experience preparing consolidated group financial statements.Experience in a manufacturing environment, including inventory and production-related accounting.Experience managing and developing accounting teams.Familiarity with international reporting standards.Professional fluency in Polish and English.A practical, detail-oriented approach and the confidence to take ownership of complex accounting matters.The opportunityThis position offers the chance to lead a group accounting function within an international business, combining day-to-day technical responsibility with opportunities to strengthen processes, systems and ways of working.The role is based in Warsaw with a hybrid working arrangement.Interested?If your experience aligns with the requirements above, we'd love to hear from you.Please apply directly through this advert with your CV.Further details about the business will be shared with suitable candidates as the process progresses.
