You will play a key role in securing our global supply chain and ensuring the reliable supply of components for our highly complex machinery.Your ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy: Define, develop and implement the international procurement strategy in line with the company's business objectives.Strategic Supplier Management: Establish, evaluate and develop an international supplier base, build long-term partnerships and drive supplier performance.Contract Negotiations: Lead international negotiations and independently manage supplier agreements, including pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, framework agreements and contractual conditions.Operational Purchasing: Take an active role in day-to-day purchasing, from sourcing and purchase orders to order tracking, delivery coordination and escalation management.Supply Chain Management: Ensure the timely availability of critical components and proactively manage supply risks, long lead times and potential bottlenecks.Cost and Performance Management: Optimize total cost of ownership, monitor purchasing KPIs and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, delivery performance and working capital.Process Development: Establish and continuously improve procurement processes, sourcing standards and supplier evaluation methods.Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, service, finance and management to align procurement decisions with technical and commercial requirements.International Coordination: Take part in procurement-related activities at our headquarters near Lake Geneva and collaborate closely with international colleagues.Your ProfileSeveral years of experience in strategic and operational purchasing, ideally in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, laser technology or a comparable high-tech industrial environment.A strong technical understanding of complex machinery, components, drawings and manufacturing processes.A degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain management or a comparable qualification; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.Proven expertise in international supplier negotiations, contract management and strategic sourcing.Strong commercial and analytical skills, with a track record of delivering measurable improvements in cost, quality and delivery performance.Business-fluent English, including the ability to negotiate and manage contracts confidently in English.
