Housekeeping Manager | Luxury Hotel Operations & Team Leadership – SapporoOur client is seeking a Housekeeping Manager to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations at a luxury international hotel in central Sapporo. The role involves leading in-house and outsourced teams, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest service, and improving operational efficiency. Benefits include 10 days off per month, birthday leave, social insurance, transportation allowance, and employee discounts on hotel stays and dining.ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise housekeeping and laundry teams, including outsourced personnel.Oversee cleanliness and quality standards across guest rooms, suites, public areas, and linen operations.Manage departmental budgets and control housekeeping and laundry inventory.Coach and develop team members to strengthen performance and service quality.Ensure housekeeping operations comply with hotel safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements.Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, special requirements, and complaints.Plan and coordinate deep-cleaning activities and special housekeeping projects.Identify and implement improvements to operational efficiency and team productivity.Work closely with other hotel departments to maintain a consistent guest experience.Manage housekeeping operations and staffing demands during peak occupancy and busy periods.Develop and implement training programmes to maintain luxury hospitality service standards.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in hotel housekeeping management.Proven leadership experience managing diverse housekeeping teams.Knowledge of hotel safety, hygiene, and relevant regulatory standards.Experience managing housekeeping and laundry budgets and inventory.Strong guest service skills, including handling complaints and resolving service issues.Familiarity with housekeeping quality standards in luxury hotels.Ability to plan and execute deep-cleaning activities and special housekeeping projects.Experience collaborating with other hotel departments to support daily operations.Proficiency in Japanese and English communication.Ability to improve housekeeping efficiency and operational productivity.
