Investment Analyst - Public Equities

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth fundamental research on publicly traded companies to identify compelling long and short investment opportunities.Develop and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and investment theses.Generate actionable investment ideas supported by rigorous financial analysis and independent research.Monitor existing investments, company developments, earnings, and industry trends.Present investment recommendations and collaborate directly with the Portfolio Manager on investment decisions.Contribute to portfolio performance through high-conviction, research-driven investment ideas.Ideal Candidate:Prior experience as an Equity Research Analyst at a hedge fund, preferably within a fundamental Long/Short Equity strategy.Strong financial modeling, valuation, and investment research capabilities.Proven ability to independently develop and articulate differentiated long and short investment theses.Sector-agnostic background; Technology and Industrials experience would be particularly relevant.Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine passion for public markets.Existing ties to Louisville, Kentucky, Nashville, Tennessee, or the surrounding region, with a genuine interest in relocating to Louisville long-term.Candidates currently based in major financial markets who are looking to relocate to the region are strongly encouraged to apply.Must have existing U.S. work authorization without requiring visa sponsorship.
