Committed to technology-driven and sustainable production, the organization plays a vital role in food security and high-quality processing.Job Context:We are seeking a highly competent and result-oriented Manager (Fisheries) to oversee and optimize our commercial fisheries project in Setabganj/Birganj, Dinajpur. The ideal candidate will take full charge of large-scale aquaculture operations, demonstrating strong technical expertise in fish and prawn cultivation, as well as modern hatchery management. This role requires an excellent mix of scientific farming knowledge and administrative capabilities to lead field staff, ensure biological security, and meet commercial production targets.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee comprehensive commercial aquaculture operations, including intensive and semi-intensive fish farming systems.Plan, implement, and manage scientific prawn cultivation (Galda/Bagda or relevant freshwater varieties) from stocking to final harvest.Manage day-to-day hatchery operations, focusing on modern breeding techniques, seed production, induced spawning, and larval rearing.Monitor and maintain optimal water quality parameters, feed formulations, and nutritional schedules for both fish and prawns.Implement strict biosecurity measures and disease management protocols to minimize mortality rates and ensure crop safety.Lead, train, and supervise a team of technicians, supervisors, and pond laborers to optimize operational efficiency.Prepare periodic production forecasts, budgetary requirements, and comprehensive MIS reports for top management.Educational RequirementsBachelor of Science (BSc) in FisheriesBachelor of Science (BSc) in Fisheries from any reputed public or UGC-approved private university.Experience RequirementsAt least 8 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)Additional RequirementsExperience in commercial aquaculture, prawn farming, and hatchery management.Sound practical knowledge of modern fish breeding, prawn nursing, and disease control.Job LocationDinajpur (Setabganj)
