Mechanical Design Engineer (Consultant Background)

We are seeking a proficient Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimising mechanical systems and components for various construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systemsUse CAD and BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) to prepare layouts and 3D modelsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical designs with architectural and structural layoutsConduct engineering calculations and simulations to verify design viability and performanceReview and revise designs based on project requirements, codes, and client feedbackEnsure all designs comply with local regulations and industry standardsCoordinate with contractors, and suppliers to support project executionParticipate in site visits to monitor installation and resolve design-related issuesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the construction industryProficiency in CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorksStrong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protectionFamiliarity with local building codes and regulationsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple tasks effectivelyPrevious experience with a consultantBenefits Competitive salary Official UAE employment status Comprehensive medical insurance coverage
