Medical Technologist II – Histology (Abbott Client)

🔬 We’re Hiring: Medical Technologist II – Histology📍 Location: Redwood City, CA💼 Position: Medical Technologist II🧪 Focus: Histology / Laboratory OperationsWe are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Technologist II with histology laboratory experience to support high-quality specimen processing and laboratory operations.Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine histology activities, including sectioning/microtomy and H&E staining.
• Perform sample dissection activities under appropriate supervision.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and laboratory controls.
• Monitor and process laboratory workflow queues.
• Perform and document equipment maintenance and calibration.
• Support specimen processing and sample returns as needed.
• Work closely with pathologists, laboratory associates, and other stakeholders to ensure specimens are processed accurately and on time.
• Process specimens supporting research and development studies.
• Support histopathology workflow, protocol, and SOP development.
• Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
• Maintain stringent laboratory quality and safety standards.Minimum Qualifications
• Associate Degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in a histology laboratory, including competency in microtomy/cutting, embedding, and routine staining.
• Strong attention to detail with a high emphasis on quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing laboratory priorities.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field.
