NPI EngineerIndustry: Electro-mechanical instrumentsSalary: £45,000–£60,000 (depending on experience)Location: CambridgeAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPI Engineer to join a well-established and innovative engineering business developing complex, high-reliability electro-mechanical instruments. The company takes products from early development through to full-scale manufacture and operates within highly regulated environments.This is a fantastic role for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of design, manufacturing, and quality, playing a key role in ensuring new products are introduced into production efficiently, reliably, and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Lead NPI activities from development through to productionWork closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to industrialise new productsTranslate designs into robust, repeatable, and cost-effective manufacturing processesDevelop and validate assembly processes, tooling, fixtures, and test methodsDrive DFM/DFA and process risk assessmentsAnalyse build data and production metrics to improve yield and performanceSkills & Experience Required:Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience)Strong experience in NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process EngineeringProven background taking products from development into productionSolid understanding of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing process developmentHands-on experience with electromechanical assembly and test processesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsIf you’re looking to join a forward-thinking engineering organisation where you can have a real impact on how new products are brought to market, apply with a copy of your CV.
