Operations Director

GSB works with a number of private banks and institutions to provide banking, investment and credit solutions for high net worth clients.About the roleReporting directly to our CEO, the Operations Director is a senior leadership role at the heart of GSB, responsible for making sure the business runs smoothly every day and that our clients receive a consistently high-quality, efficient and responsive experience.You’ll lead our operational and support teams and own the end-to-end client journey, from onboarding through transactions to ongoing servicing, removing delays, duplication and friction along the way. You’ll build scalable, well-controlled processes with clear service standards, ownership and escalation routes, and use management information to spot bottlenecks and capacity issues before they affect clients.Working closely with advisers, Middle Office, Client Impact, Compliance and Risk, you’ll make sure our operations are efficient, resilient and aligned with regulatory requirements. Technology, AI and automation will be key tools in the role. You’ll also oversee key suppliers, manage operational budgets and give the CEO and ExCo clear insight into performance, risks and priorities.What we’re looking for

• UAE-based, with strong knowledge of the UAE financial services environment
• Significant operational leadership experience within regulated financial services, ideally wealth management or financial advisory
• Experience in a DFSA-regulated environment and practical knowledge of operating within the DIFC (required)
• Experience of an FCA-regulated environment (required)
• A proven track record of improving processes, service standards and operational controls
• Experience integrating technology, AI and automation to improve operational performance
• A strong understanding of the full client lifecycle, operational risk, regulatory controls and business continuity
• Commercial awareness, with experience managing suppliers, projects and budgets
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent senior-level experienceAbove all, we are looking for ownership, accountability and integrity.
