Product Engineer — AI Creative Platform

Based in Dubai and built for the Middle East, Popcorn designs solutions that scale worldwide for diverse brands and audiences.Role Description As a Product Engineer for the AI Creative Platform at Popcorn, you will work on designing, building, and iterating core product features that power our AI-driven ad creation tools. In this full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, you will collaborate closely with product designers, R&D specialists, and cross-functional teams to translate creative and business needs into scalable technical solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining product components, integrating AI models and services, conducting performance and usability testing, and troubleshooting production issues. You will contribute to product roadmaps, participate in code reviews, analyze user feedback and data to guide improvements, and ensure the platform is reliable, intuitive, and optimized for creative workflows.QualificationsStrong Product Engineering skills, including experience building and maintaining production-grade software and platforms.Ability to apply Analytical Skills to interpret user data, performance metrics, and experiments to guide product decisions.Effective Communication skills for collaborating with product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders.Experience in Product Design, with the ability to translate creative and user requirements into clear technical specifications.Background in Research and Development (R&D), ideally in AI, creative tools, or media technologies.Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, modern web or backend frameworks).Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, APIs, or model integration, especially in media, content, or language applications.Experience working on consumer-facing or SaaS products, preferably in creative, marketing, or content domains.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Ability to work on-site in Dubai and collaborate in a fast-paced, iterative product environment.
