Job title: Senior Enterprise Architect – Digital Banking | DubaiAbout the opportunityOur client is a fast-growing, fully digital bank in the UAE, licensed and regulated by the Central Bank. Its technology spans core banking, cloud, data, and blockchain-based engineering. The bank is hiring a Senior Enterprise Architect to set and own the bank’s architecture direction.This is a senior, visible role reporting to the top of the technology function. It covers both engineering and infrastructure. The bank wants someone who creates the architecture vision, not only someone who delivers it. There’s a clear path to wider technology leadership.What you’ll doDefine and own the enterprise architecture vision, principles, standards and target-state roadmap for a digital-first bankDesign blueprints across application, data, infrastructure and securityLead architecture governance and guide major technology initiativesAct as the link between business and technology, turning strategy into scalable architectureLead legacy modernisation, cloud adoption and platform migrationAssess emerging technologies (cloud, APIs, event-driven systems, blockchain, analytics) and recommend which to adoptMake sure architecture meets regulatory, security and privacy requirementsWhat we’re looking for10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture within banking, financial services or digital businessesA proven record of creating and owning architecture strategy, not only executing someone else’sExperience leading large digital transformation, cloud or modernisation programmesStrong knowledge of TOGAF, Zachman or SABSAHands-on depth in AWS, Azure or GCP, microservices, API management, event-driven architecture, DevOps and AgileA good understanding of core banking systems (Finacle experience is a plus) and financial services regulationExperience in mature, highly regulated markets is highly valuedCertifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, CISSP, ITIL or COBIT are an advantageA strong communicator and leader who can influence senior stakeholders
