Senior INSIS Developer Consultant

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite)Contract Duration: Initial 12-Month ContractOpen to International CandidatesIndependent Contractor ArrangementRelocation, visa, accommodation, and other mobility-related expenses are not provided and will be the responsibility of the consultant.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior INSIS Developer Consultant with strong expertise in Non-Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, and Reinsurance.

This role requires a combination of deep functional insurance knowledge and hands-on technical experience supporting and enhancing the INSIS platform across core insurance operations.The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, vendors, and technology teams while supporting critical production environments, enhancement initiatives, and future transformation projects.Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional ResponsibilitiesAct as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Non-Life, Medical, and Reinsurance business processes.Support quotation, policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and reversals.Manage underwriting rules, rating structures, sum insured calculations, and exposure management.Support the complete claims lifecycle, including registration, reserving, recoveries, and settlements.Support medical insurance operations, including member enrollment, benefits management, provider networks, pre-authorizations, and eClaims.Drive reinsurance activities covering treaty administration, facultative placements, ceding processes, recoveries, and RI accounting.Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Finance, Medical Operations, and Actuarial teams.Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, testing support, and business validation activities.Technical ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, configure, and maintain INSIS solutions across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and reinsurance modules.Develop and maintain reinsurance logic including treaty allocation, facultative handling, premium and claims distribution, recoveries, and reversals.Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, and materialized views.Maintain and support INSIS backend data models, tables, and reporting structures.Build and support integrations with finance systems, TPAs, regulatory platforms, and enterprise applications.Develop operational, financial, regulatory, and reinsurance reports.Perform data validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.Participate in code reviews, performance tuning, deployments, and post-release validation.Produce technical documentation, data mappings, and deployment artifacts.Support & GovernanceProvide Level 2 and Level 3 application support.Manage incidents, service requests, enhancements, and change initiatives.Coordinate with vendors and implementation partners on issue resolution, upgrades, and platform enhancements.Ensure compliance with audit, governance, and regulatory requirements.Identify automation and process improvement opportunities.Mentor junior team members and promote development best practices.Required Experience8+ years of software development experience.5+ years of hands-on INSIS experience (or a comparable core insurance platform).Strong experience within Non-Life Insurance, Medical Insurance, and Reinsurance domains.Proven expertise in treaty and facultative reinsurance structures.Strong understanding of underwriting, claims, policy administration, reinsurance, and reporting functions.Experience supporting production environments and delivering system enhancements.Ability to effectively engage with both business and technical stakeholders.Required Technical SkillsINSIS Configuration & DevelopmentOracle SQL & PL/SQL Reinsurance Modules (Treaty, Facultative, Ceding, XoL)Backend Tables, Views & Materialized Views Reporting & Data AnalysisAPI & System IntegrationPerformance Tuning & OptimizationProduction Support & Incident ManagementTechnical Documentation & Solution Design
