Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to lead quality assurance activities across our mobile applications and web platform. In this role, you will take ownership of test planning, manual and automated testing, and quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.You will work closely with product and development teams to identify risks, prevent defects, and ensure reliable software performance across devices and platforms. Strong Java skills and hands-on experience in test automation are essential.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and maintain QA standards, testing strategies, and processes throughout the software development lifecycle.Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and identify quality risks early.Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications and web platforms.Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using Java.Expand automated test coverage for critical user journeys and regression testing.Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and cross-platform compatibility testing.Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects, working closely with developers to investigate issues and verify fixes.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support reliable and efficient releases.Analyze test results, monitor quality metrics, and communicate release readiness, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.Participate in requirements and design reviews to improve testability and prevent potential issues.Investigate test failures and improve the reliability and maintainability of automated test suites.Mentor QA team members, review test cases and automation code, and promote testing best practices.Evaluate testing tools and recommend improvements to increase test coverage and efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with demonstrated senior-level ownership of testing activities.Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.Strong proficiency in Java, with hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests.Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.Hands-on experience testing mobile applications and web platforms across different devices, browsers, and operating systems.Experience with API testing and validating integrations between systems.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and integrating automated tests into the development workflow.Ability to independently prioritize testing activities, assess risks, and support release decisions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a good command of written and spoken English.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Appium for mobile test automation.Experience improving automation frameworks and testing practices across a QA team.Experience working in an Agile development environment.
