The Steel Detailer will prepare accurate shop drawings and fabrication details for steel structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards. Daily responsibilities include interpreting architectural and structural drawings, developing detailed plans for steel and rebar elements, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and revising drawings based on review comments. The role involves using detailing software and CAD tools to produce clear, buildable drawings, maintaining document control, and supporting the fabrication and erection teams with clarifications and updates. The Steel Detailer will also contribute to quality checks and help resolve design and coordination issues during the project lifecycle.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Steel Detailing and Steel Structures, including familiarity with relevant standards and fabrication practices.Candidates should possess the ability to interpret and produce Shop Drawings and Architectural Drawings for steel construction projects.Candidates should possess knowledge of Rebar detailing and coordination with reinforced concrete elements where required.Proficiency in CAD or detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, or similar) and general computer literacy is beneficial.A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment are important.Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams are valuable.Relevant experience as a Steel Detailer or in structural drafting within the steel construction industry in the Middle East is an advantage.
